Maui activities that will be fun for the whole family or a nice romantic date is sailing. With sailing, people get to take in the views of the ocean, as well as the island. In terms of what you will do sailing, it will depend on the sailing company that you book with. The most popular sailing options tend to be sunset sailing, dinner sunset sailing, or snorkel snailing. Sunset sailing is a lovely activity after dinner, letting you take in the gorgeous sunset and the ocean breeze. If you want to take it a step further, dinner at sunset while sailing is one of the most romantic things you can do. You don’t want to miss the chance to experience Maui from the sky! Take in the views and marvel at how exceptional Maui’s beauty is.
Underwater Adventures
Under the Sea: A Tour of the Ocean Via Submarine
Typically, the only people who use submarines are the military, but what if you go to experience the ocean from the comfort of a submarine? Many people might not feel comfortable scuba diving, so the next best thing that someone can take part in is a submarine tour! Submarine tours take you 100 feet into the ocean, so you have the chance to see marine life such as sea turtles, tropical fish, sharks, and stingrays. You can feel comfortable knowing that you can witness the beauty of the ocean, but without having to swim in the actual ocean. Not only is this a great way to view the ocean, but it is also environmentally friendly. Experience what a submarine ocean tour has to offer while creating lasting memories with your family and friends.
Easy and Fun Snorkeling
If you are visiting Maui for the first time and you want to see what the Pacific Ocean has to offer, going snorkeling is one of the best and most fun things you can do. With snorkeling, you can either use a snorkeling mask and explore the ocean right outside of your hotels or you can make great memories that you will cherish forever by booking a snorkeling trip with a professional snorkeling company. An experienced crew will be able to provide you with the necessary gear, as well as rent you other necessities like wet suits or even binoculars. If you want to swim and explore beautiful coral reefs, catch a glimpse of marine life such as dolphins, and create lasting memories with your family and friends, snorkeling is one of the best Maui activities to sign up for and participate in.
SNUBA Right From Your Resort
SNUBA Off the Beach
Are you interested in snorkeling or scuba diving, but you don’t have the necessary certifications or you don’t want to leave your resort? This can be a challenge for a lot of people who want to experience both but don’t have the necessary means to do so. Luckily, there is SNUBA, a revolutionary way to enjoy diving, but without the bulky equipment. SNUBA, a combination of snorkeling and scuba diving, is an easy and fun way to dive without taking any classes or getting any certifications. Although part of the hassle of scuba diving, or even snorkeling, is having to carry a bunch of gear, you don’t have to worry about that with SNUBA. The way that it works is the gear that you need–the air supply tank–is on top of a floating raft. While participants have to wear fins, a harness, weight belt, and mask, the air supply will follow you wherever you go, so there is no need to carry a very heavy air supply with you.
One of the other things that make SNUBA such a great experience is that you can SNUBA right from the beach. You will have a guided tour of a coral reef as well as explore the beauty and vastness of the ocean. It’s an unforgettable experience and one that is not to be missed, so if you are interested in this fun and unique activity, you can book now to schedule a SNUBA tour! With a write-up in the LA Times, you know this is one of the Maui activities you want to take part in.
Kids Can Take Part, Too!
SNUBA Doo
When it comes to snorkeling or scuba diving, you may want your children to participate. However, it can be a bummer if you had your heart set on snorkeling or scuba diving, but your kids aren’t able to go. If you want to experience diving in Maui and want your kids to be able to enjoy it, too, you can always SNUBA Doo. Not only can teens and adults enjoy SNUBA, but children as young as six years old can also participate, also! SNUBA Doo for children is incredibly easy like snorkeling, but they have a regulator that you would use in scuba diving in order to breathe underwater.
Understandably, people who are interested in these types of Maui activities want to know if its safe for their children to participate in. SNUBA is incredibly safe for children, as well as adults, as each child has to wear a SNUBA Doo vest, which prevents children from being disconnected from their air supply and raft. The SNUBA Doo vest also makes it impossible for kids to touch or remove the SNUBA Doo equipment, so parents can feel at ease knowing that their children can experience the beauty and splendor of the ocean without the equipment becoming an issue. Another thing to note is that there is always a SNUBA guide, so you and your children will have full access to a professional who knows the equipment like the back of their hand. If you want to join a SNUBA tour with your entire family, we are ready to met you! Book a tour now!
SNUBA Trips From Boats
If you’re planning on doing a snorkel boat trip while on Maui, you may want to consider doing one that also offers SNUBA. Shoreline SNUBA also operates on several snorkel boats that leave from both Lahaina and Kaanapali beach. SNUBA tours off the boats are NOT private and you will be grouped with up to 8 people and the hoses are about 10ft long rather than 20. I’m addition, because the boat is on a schedule, dives are typically 20 minutes not 30-40 like off the beach. But, if not everyone in your family or group is interested in SNUBA going on a snorkel trip will satisfy everyone. Some may just snorkel while others can do both snorkeling and a SNUBA dive. Contact these boats directly for more information. www.Teralani.netwww.seamaui.com or www.quicksilvermaui.com. See you underwater!

Brian was so helpful, fun, and amazing! He made our first snuba experience so memorable and smooth with a very informative intro to snuba and guiding us carefully through the water. He made sure that everyone was comfortable and knew everything we needed to know before going into the water. When one member of our group became a little anxious about the water he made sure to help calm her down and ease her way into the water within her comfort level. Would definitely recommend Brian to anyone interested in snubaing!

We had a lot of fun doing SNUBA! We saw a variety of fish and a rare turtle. Brian and Drew were really friendly and excellent guides. They gave us thorough, clear instructions beforehand. My father said he hadn’t done scuba for 10 years and was feeling anxious before the trip, but felt well prepared and at ease after the instruction they provided. SNUBA is a great fit for our family since we have kids who aren’t scuba certified and some family members who get motion sickness and want to avoid boats. We highly recommend Shoreline Snuba Maui!

Great experience. We’ve been out with Brian twice in the past two years. He’s great with people of all ages and experience levels. My daughter was 8 and 10 during our two trips and it was her favorite activity. Totally worth it and no hassle of a boat.

My Daughter, Grandchildren and I had a amazing SNUBA dive with Brien today. This was my birthday presents to my teenage Grandchildren from Alaska. I like to give them a experience instead of a item and this was most likely the best birthday they have had so far. Brien was so friendly and made us all so comfortable doing something so out of our comfort zone. We felt safe and enjoyed every second of our time under water. From the very first conversation with Drew, he and Brien stayed in contact with us and made it all very easy.
We swam with a turtle and saw so many different kinds of fish.
Brien made sure we stopped to hear the whales. Plus, he was so good with the kids and made sure my Daughter and I were enjoying our adventure. Oh, and the pictures were amazing. (Good Job, Brien !)
Shoreline SNUBA Maui should be the top Hawaiian experience for everyone, can hardly wait to snuba again.
